Banners, logos, greeting cards, word abstracts, questions, inspirational and motivational quotes… My stock photography portfolio includes a lot of pictures created with wood and metal type printing blocks.

I am using different sets of letters and numbers against various backgrounds or isolated on white. I often shoot them with props like a cup of coffee, fruit, flower or, recently, gemstones. These vintage letterpress blocks have a lot of character: scratches, stains, and ink patina. Some, but not all, blemishes I am removing in postprocessing.

Two collages in this post display examples from my recent series of typography images. They are dominated by the end of year theme. So, we have New Year greetings, reviews of the old 2017 year, goals, resolutions and predictions for the new 2018 year.

Before that, there was a series of greeting cards and other illustrations related to Halloween and Thanksgiving. And, I am always adding some new birthday greeting cards and inspirational reminders.

All these pictures are available for licensing as royalty free images from my stock portfolio. Some can be ordered as fine art prints or greeting cards.
