Microstock photographers and artists are always looking for new distribution channels for their stock images, illustrations and vectors unless they are tied by an exclusivity contract. Several of them are selling their artwork directly through photo hosting platforms like Smugmug or PhotoShelter. Others are building their own websites using popular PhotoStore software from Ktools.net.
Here is a list of artists selling their stock directly. It comes from a link exchange at Microstock Group. Most of these sites offer royalty free images, but some also provide rights managed licenses.
Personally, I am submitting my pictures to several microstock agencies, selling my stock portfolio directly from Smugmug under PhotoKayaker.com domain and building another stock website with Ktools PhotoStore which is listed below.
