Fort Collins

I have been living in Fort Collins in northern Colorado for almost 24 years. Pictures from Old Town, natural areas, art in public places.

Horsetooth

Horsetooth Reservoir and Horsetooth Mountain Open Space near Fort Colorado – a great area for water sports, hiking, climbing, trail running, and mountain biking. It is my favorite local destination for kayak, canoe and SUP paddling.

Cache la Poudre River

Pictures from the Poudre Canyon as well as pictures of the river as seen from biking trails in Fort Collins and downriver all the way to Greeley and confluence with the South Platte River.

Water

Water issues mostly in Colorado – river diversion, irrigation, ditches, water pollution. Many pictures in this gallery are shot from a kayaker perspective.

Campus of Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, also pictures of some events at CSU, e.g. a student fashion show.

Foothills

Foothills along Front Range in northern Colorado, a transition between plains and Rocky Mountains, featuring my favorite spots near Fort Collins for hiking and mountain biking Red Mountain Open Space, Soapstone Prairie Natural Area and Eagle Nest Rock Open Space.
