stand up paddling in Colorado lakes

Stand up paddling (SUP) is an emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage. This sport has many flavors: ocean or whitewater surfing, racing, expedition, recreation with children or a dog, even practicing yoga. SUP is getting popular in Colorado on both lakes and mountain rivers.

I have been paddling kayaks and canoes for over forty years, but a year ago, I joined this new trend and added the first paddleboard, 14′ Bark Expedition to my fleet. A few months later I bought another paddleboard, a more stable inflatable Badfish SUP designed for whitewater. I use it mostly on rivers and in winter.

I usually paddle with a camera shooting pictures for my paddling blogs and for stock. Some of these images are available for licensing as royalty free digital downloads from my stock photography portfolio. The license is starting with $2 for a small size perfect for blogging and web publishing.
